Musical Theatre is in Victoria's DNA for she is the great, great, great cousin (once removed) of W.S Gilbert. One day she hopes to be able to write a patter song as well as her distant relative.

She received an MFA from the Tisch School of Arts, NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Programme. She also trained at the Royal Court Young Writers Programme and has a Masters' Degree in Creative Writing from Dartmouth College, USA. Victoria’s credits include: 'Our Girls Our Game' commissioned by BYMT (Birmingham Hippodrome, 2023) with music & lyrics by Vikki Stone, directed by Charlotte Westenra, 'Fragments' (Playground Theatre & Oxford Old Fire Station 2023) with music by Jon McLeod, An untitled Nick Cope Musical (Soho Theatre & North Wall Theatre Summer 2023 WIP), 'Ophelia' music by Ella Grace (PiTCH Festival NYC, Viborg Theatre, Denmark) 'Head of the Table' with composer, Paul Castles (Old Vic Labs and AEA workshop, NYC), the opening song for Simon Green’s Cabaret ‘So, this then is life’ which premiered at the Crazy Coqs opening the London Festival of Cabaret and transferred to 59E59 Theatre, New York for the ‘Brits Off Broadway’ Festival (music by David Shrubsole), 'A Year with…Veronica Sexton' a one woman song cycle produced at TADA Theatre, NYC and 'The Assistors', a 20 minute musical both written with composer Julian Blackmore, Lee Strasburg Theatre Institute NYC.'Marriage a la Mode' (finalist and Special Mention in the Stiles+Drewe Best New Song Prize) was a commission with composer Charles Miller for the London School of Musical Theatre which was produced again in Summer 2021 at Chichester University.
She is currently under commission from Bloomsbury/Methuen for a book about the dramaturgy of musical theatre, working on her third audio drama for Big Finish Productions, alongside numerous other projects including several screen plays for Reel One Ents. 'Lucky Hearts' will premier on UP TV in May 2023.
Victoria has designed, and led, a graduate course on Musical Theatre Writing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she was also a Visiting Lecturer. She worked with the The National Theatre for many years and helped to co-create and facilitate their Musical Theatre workshop. She read Theology & Religious Studies at Jesus College, Cambridge but has no plans to become a singing Nun. Yet.
Victoria is a proud member of The Dramatists Guild , The Writers Guild of Great Britain and was Executive Director of Mercury Musical Developments from 2015-2019 co-creating and producing BEAM2016 & 2018 - the UK's largest showcase of New British Musical Theatre.
